I had been working with iStorm regularly since 2010 during my time at my previous employer, Bisnode, for the recruitment of various IT profiles. In September 2019, we found a bilingual System Engineer through iStorm for D.A.S. (Dutch-speaking with a good command of French). In March 2020, we recruited a second bilingual System Administrator via iStorm. The advantage is that the consultants at iStorm are specialists and therefore have a very good understanding of what our IT Manager is looking for. iStorm and its recruiters distinguish themselves through their very human approach and completely transparent communication. All proposed candidates were always presented in a clear, precise, and honest manner, without any embellishment. Each presentation included both the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate. Tests were also conducted beforehand. Within our company, recruitment is based more on values and the affinity and/or feeling I have, rather than on the actual technical skills. This is an area where iStorm has always been very flexible, and in most cases, the candidates met these expectations. Feedback and follow-up after interviews or recruitment were always handled within a more than reasonable timeframe, and the reasons for rejection were analysed by the recruiters so they could easily communicate this to the candidates. Since April 2019, we have hired 3 full-time permanent developers through iStorm, and these 3 people are still part of our teams. We have never had to ask them to look for replacements.

IT Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the specified requirements. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, communicating with stakeholders, and overseeing project resources to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and allocate resources accordingly. Identify and manage project risks
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to creativity and innovation
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and materials. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize project performance
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget. Implement contingency plans as necessary
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications. Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints and justify any deviations
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Prepare project status reports, presentations, and documentation as required
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources, assessing the impact on project objectives and stakeholders. Implement change control processes to document and track changes effectively
  • Closure and Evaluation: Lead project closure activities, including formal acceptance of deliverables, handover to operational teams, and post-project evaluation. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future projects
