In order to reinforce their consultant teams, my client (internal role) is looking for a medior/senior Java Developer with strong interest in Banking sector who will:

• think out a conceptual & functional analysis that brings the client’s requirements in line with the end user’s needs
• take part in the technical analysis and development phase
• integrate the various software components in the Client’s IT environment
• participate in technical projects (JAVA, SQL,…)
• be part of a the company team working in closed collaboration

 

• Ontwerpen, implementeren en onderhouden van de netwerkarchitectuur, afgestemd op de huidige werking en toekomstige groei.
• Uitwerken van roadmaps voor netwerkinfrastructuur in lijn met de bedrijfsdoelstellingen.
• Leiding nemen of deelnemen aan netwerkprojecten (planning, uitvoering en nazorg).
• Monitoren en optimaliseren van netwerkprestaties voor maximale beschikbaarheid en schaalbaarheid.
• Configureren, beheren en onderhouden van switches, routers, firewalls, wireless en SD-WAN.
• Uitvoeren van upgrades, patches en changes volgens IT change management-processen.
• Documenteren van configuraties, netwerkdiagrammen en procedures.
• Samenwerken met interne teams en externe leveranciers om nieuwe oplossingen te implementeren.
• Fungeren als escalatiepunt bij complexe netwerkproblemen en ondersteuning bieden aan collega’s.
• Coachen en kennis delen met andere teamleden.
• Zorgen voor naleving van interne security policies en relevante standaarden.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot) to strengthen their development team and contribute to the architecture and evolution of mission-critical backend services. As a senior team member, you will contribute to shaping the technical foundation of Europe’s digital future.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design the backend architecture and define how components such as user interfaces, internal tools, and external applications interact with the backend, with a focus on reliability, resilience, and recovery.
• Build services following microservices architecture principles and align with the Twelve-Factor App methodology for scalable, maintainable applications.
• Develop, optimize and maintain high-quality backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and modern development practices.
• Contribute to solution architecture, applying patterns such as event-driven design, Saga, CQRS, and domain-driven design.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and support data model evolution.
• Model and manage data using relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability of the persistence layer.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Lead technical design discussions and promote clean code, test-driven development, and automation.
• Contribute to system modeling activities using appropriate standards (e.g. UML, ArchiMate) to describe services, integrations, and data flows.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, the service delivery manager, and the enterprise architect for planning activities and refining functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work closely with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and relevant regulations (e.g. NIS2, GDPR).
• Provide mentorship to the team and share architectural and engineering expertise.
• Continuously develop technical skills through training, reading, knowledge sharing, and staying informed about emerging technologies.

Team leadership:

• Define objectives, roles, and priorities for the IT Operations team.
• Remove operational blockers and support decision-making.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and high-quality problem solving.
• Balance operational workload with project commitments.

Operational management:

• Oversee reliable delivery of internal IT services across multiple offices.
• Implement and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain the IT Operations roadmap.
• Strengthen or redesign ITIL processes including incident, change, and knowledge management.
• Maintain clear documentation and operational procedures.

Technical oversight:

• Define and evolve IT Operations services and architecture.
• Ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and up to date.
• Support continuity planning, including backup and disaster recovery.
• Remain informed on emerging technologies and propose improvements.
• Perform limited hands-on technical support when on-site presence in Brussels is required.

Stakeholder and vendor management:

• Align IT operations with business priorities through close stakeholder engagement.
• Communicate progress, risks, and timelines to leadership.
• Manage vendors, evaluate solutions, and negotiate agreements.
• Ensure adherence to internal security standards and external requirements.

 

Your responsibilities include:

• Define and implement the Experience & Solution Design strategy in line with business objectives.

• Translate this strategy into IT policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring their application and compliance.

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of professionals through guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

• Set clear team and individual goals, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality.

• Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation.

• Build strong partnerships with external technology providers to ensure efficient service delivery.

• Act as a change driver, supporting organizational evolution and cross-department collaboration.

• Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and openness to emerging technologies.

• Identify and mitigate IT risks, including cybersecurity threats, while ensuring compliance with governance and data protection standards.

Sales :

• Projecten leiden en uitvoeren om de beveiliging en veerkracht van het netwerk te verbeteren.

• Ontwerpen en implementeren van netwerkoplossingen voor zowel nieuwe als bestaande infrastructuren.
